First time to grill a butterflied (spatchcock) chicken. The picture is bad but the chicken tasted great.
it was simple to do, remove the backbone and split the breastbone to sallow the chicken to lay flat. Cover the chicken with vegetable oil and a seasoning mix. Set the grill temperature to between 300 and 350 degrees, place the chicken breast side down on the cool zone of the grill. Place a heavy object, a cast iron skillet works great, on top to keep the chicken flat. After 45 minutes, remove the skillet, flip the chicken over and continue cooking until the internal temperature in the thigh reaches 165 degrees,
This is supposed to be what it looks like.
