Salmon fillets in a honey garlic sauce
Melt the butter in a cast iron skillet.
Add honey and lemon juice, mix well.
Add minced (or chopped) garlic.
Place the salmon fillets in the cast iron skillet, searing each side.
Season with sea salt to taste.
Place on indirect heat until internal temperature reaches 135 degrees.
Remove from the skillet and pour the remaining sauce over the fillets.
Serve with the side dishes of your choice.
These salmon fillets were frozen, I'm sure that fresh fillets would be much better. Cooked over an open fire on a grill to get an added smoky flavor.
Served with a mix of yellow squash, zucchini squash, broccoli, onions and butter with a seasoning blend. The vegetables were placed in a foil pouch and also cooked on the grill.
An additional side was the honey grilled shrimp.
