World Deer Expo 2026

We’re Headed to the World Deer Expo

Birmingham, AL  ·  July 17–19, 2026  ·  BJCC

Pop’s BBQ Pit is officially Birmingham-bound this July and we couldn’t be more fired up about it. We’re packing up the truck, loading the cooler, and heading to Birmingham for the 2026 World Deer Expo, one of the biggest hunting and outdoor events in the country. If you live for the woods, the wild, and the table this one’s for you.For years, Pop has been dialing in flavors built for the way people around here actually eat. Not just brisket on a competition stage but venison back-strap after a cold morning sit. Wild hog sausage on a cast iron skillet at deer camp. Jerky made from a harvest you’re proud of, seasoned the right way. That’s the kind of cooking we built Pop’s around, and it’s exactly what we’re bringing to Birmingham.

“Good seasoning doesn’t cover up wild game — it honors it.”

The World Deer Expo draws tens of thousands of hunters, processors, and outdoor enthusiasts every year and this is our first time being part of it. We’re showing up with the products we’ve been perfecting right here in Eclectic, Alabama, and we can’t wait to put them in your hands.

What We’re Bringing to Birmingham

  • Hot Honey Jerky Seasoning
Our most talked-about blend — balanced heat, real honey sweetness, and a finish that keeps you reaching for another piece. Built specifically for wild game jerky.
  • Signature Series Sweet Heat BBQ Sauce
The perfect pairing for anything you pull off the smoker. Bold, layered, and Southern to the bone.
  • Hot Honey Rub
Versatile enough for venison, pork, or chicken. A festival favorite and a camp kitchen staple.
  • Granny’s Classics Apple Butter, Pickles (Sweet and Dill), Pear Relish

Over the next few months, we’ll be sharing recipes, tips, and behind-the-scenes content leading up to the Expo. Think venison jerky how-tos, pairing guides for wild game, and a look at how Pop’s flavors were developed right alongside the hunting season. Stay tuned.

If you’re planning to be at the World Deer Expo this July, come find us. Try the Hot Honey. Taste what small-batch, family-made seasoning actually tastes like when somebody put their name on it and meant it.

We’ll see you in Birmingham.
